Executive Director, Palm Bay Memory Care
Michele’s career in senior living began when she was assigned to do her social work internship at a senior living community. At the start of her career, Michele was blessed to have a mentor who believed in her, pushing Michele to become CORE certified and earning her CDP certificate, following her internship as she was settling into the role of Business Office Director. Michele proceeded to work her way up to Assistant Executive Director, and was then presented with an opportunity to follow her mentor to a stand-alone memory care. Sadly Michele’s mentor was diagnosed with cancer and passed away shortly before the opening of the building. She was ultimately offered the Executive Director’s position, knowing in her heart that her mentor undoubtedly believed in her, and Michele has been blessed to call Palm Bay Memory Care her home for the last five years.
Michele is a true native Floridian, born in Brevard county, a rarity as she still resides in the town she was born in. She has three awesome children, 22 year old twin sons and a 19 year old son. In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with her kids, and her extended family and friends! Michele’s favorite thing to do when she is not working or with her family is spending time in her “She Shed” where she spends time crafting and creating projects to share with those she loves. Michele’s goal in life is to create a legacy of love, laughter, and family. Not just with the family we have blood relation to, but the family we create. She believes that every interaction with the people we surround ourselves with has a lasting effect, even though you may not realize it. Your ability to connect with someone, to listen to their story, to share yours is what creates a meaningful life.
